The Philippines has been largely devastated by typhoon Ondoy and now the Social Security System or SSS calamity loan has been opened for those who were part of the areas ravaged by the typhoon. If you are an SSS member and is interested to apply for SSS calamity loan, here are a few guides to follow.
How to Avail SSS Calamity Loan
First off, secure yourself a barangay clearance proving that you live in your area that has been declared under calamity. This should be duly signed by the barangay chairman in your zone and district. If you are currently employed, you have to ask from your HR or accountant for more info on other papers needed or visit the nearest SSS office.
You and your office treasurer will be asked of a specimen signature later for the SSS loan form. The SSS calamity loan form is called ISL 101 which you can get at the SSS branch near you or your office. For the SSS calamity loan requirements, please read my next post.

SSS no longer offers calamity loan since they don’t have “the budget” for it. So sad that our funds that suppossed to be there when we need it are being used just for corruption of its officials. It just makes me angry and sad at the same time. 8k can go a long way!

we inquire for sss calamity loan at calamba sss branch (our company is in calamba) but they answered that there is no sss calamity loan instead salary loan renewal provided that you paid the 12 mos of your existing loan how can we avail our calamity loan? please advise..

Tama ka, hindi ko din maintindihan kung bakit inalis ng SSS website ang links and information nila regarding application for SSS calamity loan. The next day after a government official announced that there is available fund for SSS members to get and file for SSS calamity loan, the information was gone.
Ayaw na magpautang ng gobyerno sa mga members ng SSS. Bakit kaya? Ano kaya ang dahilan? Putsa baka naman may balak na naman gamitin ang pondo ng mga tao sa SSS for other reasons! Walanghiya, pera ng tao yan a bakit ganon?

Kailan po ba magkakaroon ng condonation na puedeng bayaran ang calamity loan na wala ng malaking tubo? Dahil ang ang aking tatay ay nagcalamity loan noon pang pumuto ang mount pinatubo. Sa tagal na ng panahon ang matanda ay wala ng work kung kayat hindi na niya ito nabayaran at umabot na sa 10,000 plus ang babayaran niya. Nafind out ko lang po noong last week na may utang pa pala siya na ganung kalaki. Ako po ang magbabayad ng utang niya ang concern po namin ng tatay ko ay kung mabayaran namin niya ang utang na yun, ay makakakuha o makakareceive pu ba siya ng pension mula noong siya ay 60 years old hanggang ngayong 70 years old na po siya? kasi po ang akala po niya ay hindi daw po babayaran na yung calamity loan, kaya hindi niya nabigyan ng pansin. tapos until now po hindi siya pumepension 10 years na po ang nakakaraan, kaya po hindi niya naeenjoy ang benefits na dapat ay matagal na niyang pinakikinabangan, dahil may naging contribution din siya noong siya ay nagtatrabaho pa. Please give an advice…. thanks
