According to the Social Security System (SSS) website in the Philippines, there are 2 parts for the SSS Housing Loan program for OFWs. Below are a few important pointers that must know if you are an OFW looking to apply for the SSS housing loan.

Part 1 SSS Housing Loan (OFW)

The actual program for OFW SSS housing loan is called the “Pabahay sa Bagong Siglo Program” under the Direct Housing Loan Facility. This program aims to provide socialized and low-cost housing to overseas Filipino workers.

This consists of the purpose, collateral, who may borrow, loanable amount, loan terms and the exact classification of an OFW for being allowed to take advantage of this program of the SSS.

Part 2 SSS Housing Loan (OFW)

The second part of the loan consists of required documents, where to file the application, how to pay the amortization and list of authorized collecting banks for the remittance of payment of the loan.
