According to the Social Security System (SSS) website in the Philippines, there are 2 parts for the SSS Housing Loan program for OFWs. Below are a few important pointers that must know if you are an OFW looking to apply for the SSS housing loan.
Part 1 SSS Housing Loan (OFW)
The actual program for OFW SSS housing loan is called the “Pabahay sa Bagong Siglo Program” under the Direct Housing Loan Facility. This program aims to provide socialized and low-cost housing to overseas Filipino workers.
This consists of the purpose, collateral, who may borrow, loanable amount, loan terms and the exact classification of an OFW for being allowed to take advantage of this program of the SSS.
Part 2 SSS Housing Loan (OFW)
The second part of the loan consists of required documents, where to file the application, how to pay the amortization and list of authorized collecting banks for the remittance of payment of the loan.

Good day! I am an OFW already completed 126 Monthly credited contribution. but unfortunately I decided not to continue paying the monthly contribution anymore for I had reached the 120 months. In this regards, Do I entitle to avail the OFW housing loan program?

ask ko lang po regarding sa housing loan, meron na po akong nakuha sa pinas, gusto ko po sana ipagpatuloy ang hulog thru sss, sa ngayon nagbabayad palang ako ng downpayment… OFW po kaming magasawa dito sa Dubai. bigyan nio po kmi ng impormasyon tungkol dito pra pag uwi nmen ng agosto maiayos namin ang mga documentts.

Ms Juliet, kuha lamang po kayo ng loan form sa SSS for housing. If you are employed po, dapat ang company nyo ang mag aasikaso nito.

good day… OFW po ako and member ng SSS (member as self employed not OFW) tanong ko lng po if how many months contibution pwedeng mag apply ng loan sa inyo gusto po kasi naming magpagawa ng bahay sa lupa na mana ng nanay ko.. just in case na hindi po ako makaloan pwede po bang magamit ang land title as a collateral sa pag loan na nakapangalan ngayon sa nanay ko at ako ang magbabayad.

6 yrs na po ako sss member, ang asawa ko naman po matagal na sya member kaso matagal na rin po na stop. ngayon po gusto namin mag apply ng housing loan dito sa davao city. matagal na po kasi kami nagrerent ng bahay dito sa city. 1 yr pa lang ang husband ko sa saudi.ang tanong ko lang po sino ang dapat mag apply sa amin dalawa, ang husband ko na OFW pero di naman nakakabayad ng contri nya o ako po na employed? pwede rin ba ako humingi ng list kung san ang available location/area.
