SSS Salary Loan
A salary loan is actually a short term loan offered to SSS members by the Philippine Social Security System to meet any immediate need for cash by any SSS member. The next question would probably be who can qualify to make an SSS loan? So far, in the SSS website, there are basically 5 pointers with which any member may qualify for a salary loan. Please read below.
Who Is Qualified to Make a Loan? (info taken directly from SSS website – www.sss.gov.ph)
1. An employed, currently paying self-employed or voluntary member (SE/VM) who has 6 posted monthly contributions for the last 12 months prior to the month of filing of application.
- For one-month loan, the member-borrower must have 36 posted monthly contributions prior to the month of filing of application.
- For a two-month loan, the member-borrower must have 72 posted monthly contributions prior to the month of filing of application.
2. If the member-borrower is employed, the employer must be updated in contributions and loan remittances.
3. The member-borrower must be updated-current in the payment of other member loans, which include educational, stock investment, MADE & housing loans granted under the Unified Housing Loan program (UHLP) or direct from SSS.
4. The member-borrower has not been granted final benefit (total permanent disability, retirement and death).
5. The member-borrower has not been disqualified due to fraud committed against the SSS.

I’M NOT YET INTERESTED ABOUT THE LOAN.MY CONCERN NOW IS THAT I’M NOT ABLE TO INQUIRE MY SSS CONTRIBUTION AND IN THE LOG IN PAGE SAYS THAT MY ACCOUNT WAS BLOCKED. HOW COULD THAT HAPPENED?

@ Maricar, if you passed all 5 requirements mentioned above, I believe so that you are qualified to apply and get your SSS loan. If you were able to pay at least 36 SSS remittance payments to the SSS in the past and you have no other existing loans or outstanding balances, then that makes you legible for the loan.
@Josan, you can only be blocked from the SSS online inquiry if you repeatedly tried to access your account entering the wrong username password combination. However, I am not implying that you made this mistake but there is little or no chance at all that your account could get blocked if you did nothing wrong in the process of logging in. All I can suggest to you however is to fill up a form of request of new SSS password. This might take time but this is the standard process that nobody is spared of when instances like this happen.

Why PNB didn’t encash my SSS Check worth 12,000, the approving officer said that they will only encash SSS check amount below 10K…Why it happen?

I also experience that my SSS loan check was not accepted by PNB. In the SSS check it was clearly displayed that SSS check is accepted in all PNB Banks.

Pwedeng pwede po hulugan ulit ang account as long as you still have the SSS number or if you kept a copy of the number pero kung talagang retrieval po, you can ask the sss admin.

I resigned from my previous employer on March 2010. Now I’m with a new employer and my status with them currently is trainee. More than 40 months na ang contribution q and the latest posted month was for January 2010. Pwede na kaya aq mag-apply ng salary loan? Kung kayo po ay fully paid na sa inyong SSS loan at wala na kayong balance after availing of the SSS condonation program ay pwede na po kayo mag apply ulit ng loan sa Social Security System (SSS). Salamat sa pagbisita.

Tumutubo po ang SSS salary loan. Kung 3 years na po na hindi kayo naghuhulog or kinakaltasan ng monthly amortization, malamang na nag incurr na po ng malaking interest ang loan ninyo. Ang pinakamabuting gawin po ninyo sa ganitong kaso ay kayo na po ang mismong pumunta sa SSS upang itanong kung magkano ang dapat nyong bayaran monthly at kayo na din po ang maghulog sa any SSS accredited banks ng inyong loan payment. Tandaan na lumalaki ang tubo ng loan na ito habang hindi binabayaran.

Hi. I applied for a salary loan about two weeks ago. I just want to know the timeframe for processing such claim. I checked my account this morning and it says that I have an active loan and the renewal date is on November 2012. Does this mean that my salary loan will be credited on November of this year? If so, why does it take 3 months to process?

My concern is with regards to my father’s sss#.
He used to work when he was still single (about 20~27) years ago, and as far he still rembered he continuously paid that time at his job tenure until he got married at hindi na po sya nakahulog.
My father is 55 years old now and I wanted to continue his contribution.
Would it be possible for my father to continue his contribution but he already lost his sss#.Please help answering my querries.
I wish from your respective company’s consideration with my request on how I can locate my father SSS#? And he can still continue his contribution?

gusto ko lang po malaman number of contributions ko because hindi po nagpapakita ang employer ko ng receipt kung nahulugan ba ang sss ko or hindi and gusto ko rin sana malaman kung magkano actual na hinuhulog nila.

Hello. I have some questions before I try applying for salary loan. But first here’s my situation:
1. current local employment: Aug’10 to present
2. previous employment: May-July’10
3. unemployed: April’09-April’10
4. foreign employment: Feb.’02-March’09
5. local employment: (not sure)—til Jan.’02
Question: Should I apply transfer of my SSS files from previous employers to the present employment’s SSS branch so I can avail of salary loan?
What steps should I do so I won’t have to go back and forth to all the SSS branches involved?

I am a member of sss since 1982. My problem was, i had loan since 2002 amounting to 20,000. This was released after my voluntary resignation to the company. Being unemployed for so many yrs now, i decided to inquire thru sss hotline the real amt of loan that i availed way back 2002. I was suprised of the total loan amt which sum up to 63,000.It is indeed a great amt. How can i cope with this problem? Can i avail the condonation program? sana po hindi ganito kataas ang naging interest sa mga years po na wala akong job. How long does it take for an SSS salary loan to be processed? It has been 2 weeks since I filed my application thru my company HR but when I asked them if there were any updates, the HR told me that SSS hasn’t returned yet the application. It will be the 3rd week today.

My employer is not updated in their SSS remittances, although, us, employees are being deducted our SSS contributions every payday. Problem is, can we, the employees avail of the salary loan and what can the SSS do to compel our employer to remit its payment on time? It seems SSS is a bit lenient along this line. Can you not check or send letters to deliquent emplyoers such a ours? KAWAWA NAMAN PO YUNG MGA EMPLOYEES NA BINABAWASAN ANG SWELDO EVERY PAYDAY TAPOS, HINDI NAMAN ON TIME NIREREMIT NG EMPLOYER. Oh please, just go to the nearest SSS branch and ask an employee. Look up your nearest SSS branch and call them. For OFWs, there is a contact page at the official SSS website.
And please never post your contact information on a forum like this. It’s so easy to scam you this way. And, kung kayang magtagalog, tagalog nalang! Pa english english pa grammatically incorrect naman!

Fresh grad po ako. I recently got hired sa isang company. Kasama sa requirement ung pagkuha ng SSS loan voucher. Nung kumuha ko ng SSS number, ang sabi nila hindi pa daw ako pwede kasi wala pa contribution. Nung sinabi ko yun sa employer ko, yung iba daw nakakapagprovide naman. Pwede daw sa website. Hindi naman ako makapagregister sa website kasi humihingi ng EMPLOYER ID kapag employed ka. Eh fresh grad nga ako. Pano po ba tlaga ko makakakuha ng SSS LOAN VOUCHER?? inquire ko lang po kung pwde na ako mag loan total contribution ko po 1s 39 months sa sss. until now po continous po ako naghuhulog d2 sa saudi bilang ofw. plano ko pag-uwi ko sa october mag apply ako ng loan pandagdag negosyo sa sari sari store.

I only have 34 month contribution then I resigned and was about to transfer in a government type of work can I still continue my contributions(under what member category and how?) and can I still have the SSS loan? Thank you

ask ko lang, nagbayad ako ng loan ko sa sss commonwealth branch last 07/10/11 as of april 2011 73 contribution na ako. When po magreflect yung bayad ko sa sss website at how long it takes to process ss loan. god bless!

Im reading comments here to hopefully get some ideas about SSS benefits. However, I cant help but notice comment number 77 of METS.. ang bully naman.. wag naman mangantiyaw ng kapwa Filipino kung wrong man ang grammar. Di kami kasing perfect mo.. Gusto ko po sanang mag salary loan, 2nd time ko na, fully paid last April 2011 yung 1st loan ko. Nakapag inquire na din po ako and according po sa company pinapasukan ko, sa June 2012 pa ako puede mag loan. Gusto ko lang po malakam kung meron pang way na makapg loan ako within this year, badly needed po. Thank you!

Pwedeng pwede po kayo mag file ng SSS loan without any ID but eventually, kapag kuhanan na po ng cheque ay kakailanganin din po ninyo ang inyong SSS ID so better file for one at habang wala pa ang SSS ID po ay humingi po kayo ng certification for a temporary SSS ID at sabihing for SSS loan purposes lamang po.

just wanted to as info about salary loan, my brother is working for almost 8years and his sss contributions is continues, he wanted to practice salary loan because as we know, the amount of salary loan will depend on how many loan you made, is it true? and if ever we try to loan how much or what percent will be deducted to his salary? is it possibly you can send the info on my email? thank you.

I already have the information of how much is my SSS Contribution, that is 20 as of December 2011( Through SSS voice prompt). My question is how many months should I work-on before I meet the 36 contributions. I really need a response which is quite significant to me in some reasons. Thank You.

Hi good pm po … pwede po bang magtanong kung pwede na po ba akong makapagloan, my contribution is 41 na ,hindi po ba updated ung website nyo sa SSS, kasi hind ko po nakita ung contribution ko last year 2011, the whole year. Nakapagtataka nmn na wala akong contribution last year, samantalang kinakaltasan nmn ako buwan buwan ng employer ko.

I have a previous loan which was supposed to be settled by end of December 2011. My employer already had it paid with my contribution (this was reflected with my online sss account). I have plans of filing a new loan this February 2012 (since I will be eligible to do so according to the site), but the sss online system says I’m not cleared with my last payment. I’m just wondering how long would it take to update your system so I can file my new loan. I just hope before February ends, everything in your system will be updated. Thank you so much!

Hi, I have a similar inquiry made by Angel F. Castano on August 2nd, 2011 at 12:54 PM which says:
“noong 1995 nag loan ako ng halagang php 50,000.00 para sa Stock investment, and privatization fund. ng meralco share, saan ko ba pwede makuha ang stock certificate?”
I am not sure if there is already a reply on this.

Yes, you are qualified even if you paid your contribution requirement of 36 payments for as long as you have completed it. But mind you that there are other requirements you should be able to have so please read our post regarding filing for SSS loan requirements.

The teller told me that my loan check will be available after five days. I signed up on SSS online and in just 3 days my Loan Status says that my check was already generated. Can i claim it now even if the the 5th day hasn’t come yet??

I worked for 7 months on my second job then was stopped for 4 months and came again to the same company and started working again for a month. Can I make a salary loan then? But on my previous job I worked there for 7 years. And was not able to make any loans. This was long time ago and stopped for about 3 yrs working.. About how much I can possibly get for my first loan? Thanks

ask lang po if kailangan na 36 months na deretso ang hulog bago makapag loan? kasi ako po pa putol putol po ang hulog ko kasi every 5 months end of contract na then apply ulit sa iba. papano po yun? edi hindi po ako pwede mag loan?

I filed a salary loan last March 27, 2012 and I still haven’t received it. I asked the SSS Pasig branch. They said It’s already in the post office.
But It’s almost 1 month now. And I check my sss site, the check was dated March 30, 2012.But still I haven’t got it! Where can I claim it??

I have an outstanding salary loan. I just resigned from my previous work and I asked the HR if they will deduct the loan from my last pay. However, she said that they will not deduct it. I just want to ask how will I pay my loan? Hope for your prompt response.
