A frequently asked question about SSS salary loan may also be – When can a member renew his/her salary loan with the SSS?
Basically, any form of loan from the SSS may only be renewed if you have paid in full, the loan amount including all forms of interest and surcharges. Mind you however that even if there are set amounts for any loan with regards to payment, there is no limit for the amount you want to be deducted from your salary which will go to the payment of your SSS loan.
The above statement means that you can actually pay a higher loan amortization or deduction if you want or intend to get paid and rid yourself from your loan earlier than your expected payment terms. But also remember that if the term says 2 years, then you will have to wait 2 years before you can make another loan or loan renewal.
However, it is always good to get paid earlier than the set date of payment because you can immediately make another loan application even before the date of full payment stated in the terms of your SSS loan.
Another special point you need to know about is that if the loan is scheduled to be paid within 2 years time, then after that, you can or is already allowed to renew your SSS loan. Balance of P500 or less shall be deducted from the proceeds of the new loan.

Hi, I wanted to clarify my existing SSS personal loan (dated June 2007) with your branch (SSS Pasay – Roxas Boulevard). Based on the company’s record where I work, I have fully paid my personal loan. But verifying it on the postings I see at your SSS website, it shows that I still have a missing payment (1 month payment dated May 2008). I appeal to your good office to please check on this matter. nagloan ako last april 29, 2009 pero til now di pa rin narelease kc lumalabas my remaining balance pa ako sa past salary loan pero totaly paid na ko nagpast na rin ako ng mga document nagpatunay na fully paid na ko, i do know na wat happen kc til now di pa rin narelease, nagpafollow-up ako lagi reason sira ang computer almost 3 mos. lagi sira computer. wat the reason?

Ask ko lang po kung pwede po bang kumuha ng baong SSS card dito sa embassy natin sa Kuwait kasi po nawala po ung card ko few years back , umuwi po ako i tried to get another ID card pero sabi sa main office sa Manila after 4 mos pa saka ma receive e 1 month lang po ung bakasyon ko kaya di ko na po na process.

SSS Loan renewal po is when you have fully paid for the loan balance amortization and monthly remittance. Kung paid na po kayo, then pwede na po kayo ulit mag loan sa SSS.

1. Sa SSS Online po, nag reflect na my loan will be rejected kasi i have active loan 8/2010, e bayad naman na po yung first loan ko, sobra pa nga po ng 700. will my loan be rejected?

Hi, I just finished my salary loan and all settled na ung account ko by Oct 1. Today, Oct 8, I went to SSS Makati to file for a salary loan… sabi after 1 month pa daw ako pwede mag file nang salary loan! I went through out the sss website and look for that statement pero wala… its very frustrating kasi I have to personally go there today with all the hassles to find out na nde nila i-accept yun.

As far as my employer’s remittance record is concerned, I’m done paying my previous salary loan as of 10 October 2010. I’ve applied for a reloan with my employer’s HR office but I was told that SSS had temporarily freezed loan applications. May I know the reason for this action? Furthermore, the SSS website remains inaccessible to members like me, can’t something be done about this? Thank you.

Last July 15, 2011, my SSS loan was already fully paid. I asked our payroll master to deduct double of my Monthly Amortization, that is why my loan was actually paid in 1 yr.
Can I apply for a renewal? My SSS loan was supposed to end by 01 December 2011.

i took salary loan when i was still working in Baguio-payable in 24 mos, the company i worked for sent my backpay to SSS to pay my loan so my loan was paid in full on the 12th month..but they overpaid it…instead of just sending around P6,000+ they sent almost P9,000 so it was overpaid by almost P3,000..i am now working here in manila..
1.can I request for a refund?
2.can i apply for a renewal or do i really have to wait for 2 years from the date of the first loan even if the loan is already paid in full?
3.can i apply for a different loan?

Want to know why the total amount paid(accumulated monthly amortization) is greater than the total amount of loan granted(principal)? i want to clarify because the check amount received was already deducted of advance interest and service charge…
